About Us
Hi, I'm Caitlin - founder and head trainer at CVC K9 Dog Training.
My passion for dog training began 6 years ago, when I brought home my very first dog, Chester. I soon realised I needed help with him, as we was displaying a lot of behaviour issues I didn't know how to solve on my own. After trying puppy classes, trying to find a trainer that showed real life results and talking to other local dog owners - I started to find my own training approach. Focusing on relationship and clarity.
I've since completed courses and mentorships, gained a lot of hands on experience and had the pleasure of working with dogs of all shapes and sizes, all with their own unique personality.

We don’t even know where to start. We always knew getting a working dog was going to be a lot of work, which we put a lot into Kobi ourselves. There was just a few things that we couldn’t seem to fix/get better, so we reached out to Caitlin for a 1:1 to address the issues. We quickly realised that we had exhausted alot of avenues and tried different ways of doing things but we just couldn’t crack it ourselves with Kobi. We joked around and said “can you just take him for 2 weeks” to then we spoke about a residential which we didn’t know Caitlin offered at this point! We spoke through what we thought was best for Kobi and how long we think he’d need etc and then got it all booked.
From start to finish of the residential, we had constant updates, picture updates, video updates, voice notes, the lot! Any questions we had and still have now, we have Caitlin’s full support. Kobi already went to Caitlin for his walks, so he wasn’t unfamiliar with her, but you can just tell with her that she is so passionate about her job and just to top it off she is absolutely amazing at what she does, so we never had any doubts sending Kobi with her.
We genuinely never thought we’d of got to where we are now with Kobi and are now so pleased we can now enjoy life with him. We have recently been up Keswick where we took him on a very busy/popular dog walk and he was absolutely spot on all the way round. This is something we’d of never done before as it would been hard work to put it lightly! He is so much more settled at home and starting to understand that in the house is where you chill and are calm, outside is where you release your energy! The videos Caitlin has posted of kobi speak for themselves and can hands down say it’s the best investment we have ever made.
We wouldn’t say Kobi is perfect, and you’d be silly to think that your dog will come back perfect - dogs will still be dogs, they aren’t robots! You have to be committed to learn what your pup/dog has learnt and carry on everything at home, otherwise it’s pointless!
